Network X Launches ConnectFrance

Join the French telco ecosystem and major stakeholders at the ConnectFrance stage – Network X's first France-focused stage.

In 2023, Network X celebrated the launch of ConnectFrance – a stage dedicated to exploring issues impacting the French telecoms industry today, delivered in French, and taking place in the heart of the Network X exhibition. The latest Omdia research anticipates rapid growth in both 5G and fibre rollout across France in the coming years – potentially accelerated by proposed copper decommissioning plans currently under consideration by national regulator ARCEP.

ConnectFrance Will Address

ConnectFrance will enable French telecoms stakeholders to hear the latest industry updates from specialists in the French sector, including industry analysts, telcos, local and national government, regulators, academics, associations and start-ups.

The ConnectFrance stage will deliver opportunities to learn and discuss key issues impacting French telecommunications, including 5G and fibre rollout, monetisation strategies, B2B services , rural access challenges, and plans for meeting France’s net zero targets.

Register for Network X and access the ConnectFrance stage to connect with key players within France’s telecommunications sector and explore future strategies for French telcos in network roll-out and upgrades, innovation, monetisation, and sustainability.

State of the Market

- Both Orange and Bouygues Telecom have announced plans to deploy 5G standalone (SA) in 2022–23, which will further drive 5G adoption in the country.

- Fiber adoption is growing fast. In 2019, Orange France, the largest fixed-line wholesale operator, announced its plan to shut down its DSL network and move toward all-fiber fixed infrastructure by end-2030. The proposal is currently under consideration by Arcep (French telecom regulator). If the copper decommissioning plan goes ahead, France will have even more rapid growth of fiber in the forecast period. akeholders at the ConnectFrance stage – Network X's first France-focused stage.

Why is this important?

- Bringing the ecosystem together to give insights and discuss the state of the French telecoms market and drive forward network performance, access and services.

- Continuing to rollout fibre and 5G rollouts and push this forward with the major stakeholders.

- Bringing the latest French innovation to a global event and global stage, and to support telcos in innovation.
